THE HOUSE

After a day out, whether you've been on the beach or taken a cultural trip inland to places like Monchique or Silves it's nice to get back to a house that you can relax in!

We love it and so many people use our house because it's in an ideal base for the perfect holiday in the Algarve. And unlike so many apartments, it has oodles of outdoor space to enjoy the plentiful sunshine!

Just what you need to finish the perfect day.

You won't be disappointed with the location, space or the views.

THE BEACHES

Praia da Luz is the perfect holiday destination for so many different types of people and that's why we love it!

The tranquil beaches on the South coast are perfect for those lazy beach days chilling, reading and watching the kids swimming and playing in the calm sea.

Then take a trip to the West coast and experience the ruggedness and power of the Atlantic crashing onto the golden sands. Ideal for the more adventurous! Slip on a wetsuit and ride a few waves - it's exhilarating - the whole family will love it!

You may just choose to watch but it's still an amazing place to catch the rays!

THE GOOD LIFE

There are plenty of good restaurants and bars in Luz catering for all sorts of tastes - from Gastro, Italian, South African, Traditional Steak Houses to Indian!

If you're after something a bit livelier, Lagos is a short bus or taxi ride away. You'll find more bars, restaurants, shops and the Marina.

THE SPORT

If you're a golfer then you'll be spoilt for choice with several amazing local courses:

  • Boavista (5 min drive)

  • Espiche (10 min drive)

  • Penina (10 min drive)

  • Parque de Florista (10min drive)

  • Palmeras (20 min drive)

And of course the popular resort of Vilamoura is only a 30 min drive away if you want to play the more well known courses.

THE CULTURE!

Take a trip to Monchique, a market town up in the Serra de Monchique, which is a thickly wooded mountain range separating the Algarve from Alentejo. The journey up (and down) to Monchique offers spectacular views and is totally different from coastal Algarve.

Silves is a delightful and traditional Portuguese town that makes for an enjoyable day trip from the coastal resorts of the western Algarve. The peaceful ambience of the town today does not reflect the historical importance of Silves, which during the North African Moor’s rule of the Algarve (700-1200ad) was the capital and defensive stronghold of the entire region.

Remnants of this illustrious era can be discovered throughout Silves, and include the huge red brick castle, the impregnatable city walls and defensive gates.
